He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Clay and Mary Clay; and his siblings, Bill, Tommy, Jim, Wilbur, John Clay, Ruth Bowers and Shirley Stoner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Pate (Calvin) of Winston, GA. and Jessica Lane (Doug) of Thomaston; and his brother Rick Clay of Thomaston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
