He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred R. Phagan and Onita Cook Phagan; and his son-in-law Chris English. He is survived by: his children, Julie Phagan English of Meansville Ga and Rodney Phagan (April) of Meansville Ga; his siblings, Raymond Phagan (Pam) of Hoover Al and Amaryalis Heath (Larry) of Woodland Ga; and his grandchildren, Houston Hurt (Leigh), Hunter English, Jacob Phagan and Nathan Ritch. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
