With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Romie Dowdy Hammond of Thomaston, Georgia, born in Eastman, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dowdy and Rosa Lee Dowdy; her husband Gene Hammond; her daughter Leann Minyard; her daughter-in-law Donna Hammond; and her granddaughter-in-law Kelly Hammond.
She is survived by: her son Scotty Hammond of Thomaston Ga; her grandchildren, Brian Hammond and Carrie Tidwell; and her great grandchildren, Corey Calvert, Carlie Daniel (Isaac) and Walker Hammond.
