He is survived by: his wife Debbie Van Houten Brooks; his son Shannon Brooks (Lori); his grandchildren, Colton Brooks (Alisha), Kristen Brooks (Chris) and Matthew Brooks; his great grandchildren, Madison Brooks, Camden Brooks, Riley Richardson and Anna Kolllin Brooks; his brother Bill Brooks (Vanessa); his aunts, Marie Marshall and Martha Barfield; his brother-in-law Ronnie Van Houten (Glenda); his nieces, Lisa Caldwell and Michele Harrell (Duane); his cousins, Greg and Tonya Marshall; his nephew John Van Houten; his niece Christy Futch; his grandchildren, Justin Mercer (Haley), Matthew Mercer, Hailey Brown (Chandler) and Maddie Mercer (Love Muffin); and his great grandchildren, Kinley, Kooper, Kam, Jax, Rhett Mercer and Brantley Brown.
