With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Irene Lackey of Thomaston, Georgia, who passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Mildred Irene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mildred Irene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Garland Childree and Myrtle Ilene Ellington Childree; and her brother Alton Childree. She is survived by: her close friend Anthony McAlum of Thomaston; her daughter Denna Ochs (Keith) of Macon; and her grandchild Karsen Ochs Hanna (Zach).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coggins Funeral Home (321 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home (321 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286).
