With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Edward Douglas of Thomaston, Georgia, who passed away on September 6, 2024 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Michael Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Reynolds Douglas and Emily Loyd Douglas McDuffie. He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy Douglas of Leesburg, FL and Debbie Overton (Doug) of San Antiono, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Brent Sheppard, Robert Sheppard, Hannah Overton, Sarah Overton and Jay Overton.
