She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Hale and Rozelle Burkett Hale; her husband Joseph "Joe" Watts Gordy; and her granddaughter April Dawn Sewell. She is survived by: her daughters, Joanne Gordy Fennell of Thomaston and Sheila Gordy Pollard (Tom) of Thomaston; and her sisters, Lavelle Pitts (Edward) of Thomaston and Brenda Townsend of Thomaston. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Coggins Funeral Home (321 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
