It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Spoon of Thomaston, Georgia, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Swails and Ann Jackson Swails; her husband Albert Eugene Spoon; her son Charlie Spoon; and her siblings, Richard Swails, Loretta Carpenter, Myrtle Hill and Catherine Cato.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Curry (Al), Sherry Fleegle (Bill) of Palmyra, Virginia and Donny Spoon (Nikkie) of Thomaston; and her siblings, Charles Swails, Roy Swails, Jerry Swails, Neil Swails and Linda Waddle of Thomaston. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and thirteen great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coggins Funeral Home (321 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
