He is survived by: his wife Thelma Virginia Pitts Taunton of Thomaston; his children, Pam Thompson (Shawn) of Yatesville and Jerry Taunton of Thomaston; his sister Mattie McCranie of Thomaston; his grandsons, Stephen Taunton (Jessica) and Levi Thompson; and his great grandchild Adileigh Taunton.
