He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Pitts Sr. and Thelma Jarrell Pitts; and his brother Emory Pitts. He is survived by: his wife Lavelle Hale Pitts of Thomaston Ga; his children, Angie Riggins (David) of Thomaston Ga, Debra Trinidad (Mike), Eddie Pitts (Kitty) of Thomaston Ga and Mike Pitts (Christi) of Thomaston Ga; and his siblings, Cecil Pitts Jr. of Thomaston Ga and Virginia Taunton of Thomaston Ga. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Baptist Church (2569 Jeff Davis Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery (2569 Jeff Davis Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286).
