It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Joyce Wright of Thomaston, Georgia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Williams and Sadie Hilley Williams; her husbands, Wright Farm and Joe Robert Wright; her son James "Jimmy" Coleman Freeman, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Winkles Freeman.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Weatherford Kilby (Greg); her grandchildren, Cole of Thomaston, Cace of Thomaston, Cade of Thomaston and Janie Kilby of Thomaston; her siblings, Jimmie Hooper of Anderson, SC, Nancy Webb of Thomaston, GA and Larry (Jennie); her sister-in-law Mary (Phil) Waldrop; and also, Kacey Spivey (Garrett), Landon, Grayson, James Weatherford (Cyndi) of Davie, FL, Todd Weatherford of Thomaston, GA, David Weatherford (Julie) of Yatesville, GA and Jill Weatherford (Tim).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Jimmy Freeman Foundation which provides college scholarships to local high school students.
