Betty Jean left this world on March 15, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Grady Lord; her parents-in-law, Wade Grady and Iona Lord; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Lord MeGill and Fred Lord.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Smith of Thomaston, Coral Zeck (George) of Dayton and Barry Lord (Pam) of Thomaston; her granddaughters, Adrian Griffith of Thomaston, Callie Coker (Sam) of Thomaston, Sydney Sharpe (Matt) of Thomaston and Laura Reveal (Danny) of Dayton, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Avery Griffith, Mattie Griffith of Fayetteville, Marlie Kelly of Thomaston, Maizy Kelly of Thomaston, Myles Sharpe of Thomaston, Tatum Coker of Thomaston and Beau Coker of Thomaston; her sister-in-law Pat Reese (Larry); and her niece Debbie McClain (Bill). She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Coggins Funeral Home (321 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
