She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dunham Powell and Mallie Barnett Powell; her husband James D. Griggers, Sr.; and her daughter Dedra Griggers McElroy. She is survived by: her son James D. Griggers, Jr. of Weaverville, NC; her grandchildren, Matthew McElroy (Julie) of Nashville, TN and Melanie McElroy McNally (Sean) of Atlanta, GA; and her great grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Ryan McElroy, Owen McElroy and Anna McElroy.
