Truett Irwin Elton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Truett Irwin Elton of Tennille, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 100. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Truett Irwin Elton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillory Irving Elton and Mattie Bell Trawick Elton; and his siblings, Loma Elton Hitchcock, Ellen Elton Hitchcock, Nancy Elton Henry and Edwin Elton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Manguno (Jeff), June Hutchings (William) and Melanie Miles; his grandsons, Raborn Taylor, III and Jarrod Hutchings (Lindsey Elliott); and his former wife Sara Page Hall. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (1183 Mt Moriah Rd, Tennille, GA 31089). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at the Zeta Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Truett Elton's name to either of the following: Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 1183 Mt. Moriah Rd., Tennille, GA 31089; VFW Disaster Relief fund, ℅ Georgia VFW, PO Box 3025, Macon, GA 31205; or the GA War Veterans Home, 2249 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
