She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Harris Amerson, Jr.; her son Howard Alan Amerson Sr.; and her parents, Clyde Wesley Veal and Bessie Bernice Renfroe Lariscey. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Melissa Amerson Emmett (Shane) of Rincon, Michelle Amerson of Davisboro and Howard Alan Amerson Jr. (Hilary) of Tennille; her daughter-in-law Harriett Amerson of Tennille; her great grandchildren, Dustin Lawrence (Amber), Rachel Falk, Lauren Crosby (Daniel), Alissa Amerson and Palmer Amerson; and her great great grandchildren, Lane Falk and Kinley Crosby.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tennille Baptist Church (203 N Main St, Tennille, GA 31089). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
