He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Edward Kitchens and Estelle Brown Kitchens; and his wife Evelyn Brown Kitchens. He is survived by: his sons, Joe Kitchens, Jr. (Penny) of Sandersville, Stacy Kitchens (Jackie) of Sandersville and Jim Kitchens (Crystal) of Sandersville; his grandchildren, Amy K. York (Chad), Erica K. Mullis (Julian), Morgan Kitchens, Haley Kitchens and Lindsey Kitchens; and his great grandchildren, Zooey York, Bailey Tingle, Madison Steiner and Waylon Carter Kitchens (Geraldine Hodges) of Davisboro.
