He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Cody Phillips (Maci) and Tyler Phillips; his mother Carolyn Phillips; his grandchildren, Rylee, Waylon Phillips, Karson and Lyric Girvin; and his siblings, Mike Phillips (Jennifer) and Nicole Spath (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephew.
