He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Gibson and Allen Gibson; and his nephews, Jeff and Brent Caneega. He is survived by: his daughter Lauren Poss (Bryant) of Hoschton; his grandchildren, Taylor, Skyla, Jack and Gabe; his sisters, Jeanette Caneega of Wrightsville and Jane Gravelle of Fairfax, VA; his niece Jenny Stratton (Adam) of Annandale, VA; and his great-nephew Michael Caneega (Ivey) of Wrightsville.

If preferred, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent in Mr. Gibson's honor to Tennille Baptist Church Growth Fund (Tennille Baptist Church, 203 North Main St., Tennille, GA, 31089).
