He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Griffie and Rosie Bolen Griffie; and his siblings, Mary Scruggs, Elmer Griffie, Jim Griffie, Charles Griffie, Nori Vines, Lynda Carroll, Johnny Griffie and Billy Griffie.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stewart Griffie; his children, Mary Fraser (Keith), Benita Schultz (Heath), Bud Griffie (Mandy) and Jack Griffie (Angie); his sister Lou Winters; and his grandchildren, Brittany Schultz, Ethan Griffie, Morgan Fraser, Tiffany Griffie, Melanie Griffie, Prestley Griffie, Macey Griffie, Wesley Griffie and Dawson Fraser. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
