He is survived by: his wife Cathy Astin; his children, Kimberly Lynn Johnson (Richard), Melissa Ann Astin, Phil Carroll Astin, IV, Aidan Wayne Astin, Molly Ella Astin, Amanda Foiles (Roland) and Allison Voyles (Trent); his grandchildren, Georgia Hope Johnson, Josyah Astin, Hunter, Leithen, Lane and Ruby; his brothers, Dr. George Astin and Dr. David Astin; and his pets, Boris, Gracie and Bella.
