She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Haney and Ruby Inez Barrett (Ford); her husband Richard Maurice Brownsword; her daughter Dawn Griffin; her brother Ray Haney; and her great grandchild Kameron Englett.
She is survived by: her children, David Irelan (Shirley) of Roanoke, Tony Brownsword (Beverly) of Temple and La-Trish Evans (David) of Villa Rica; and her siblings, Larry Haney, Bobby Barrett, Gladys Adams, Diane Sams and Janice Haymon. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
