He was predeceased by: his sister Shirley Thurmond. He is survived by: his wife Tammie McCallie of Temple, GA; his children, Cory Miller of Yorkville, GA, J. D. Clancy of Dallas, GA and Jarred McCallie of Temple, GA; and his siblings, Wayne (Carol McCallie), Kathy (David Harrell), Eugene (Gina McCallie), Clarissa (Donnie Smith), Joseph (Kim McCallie) and Benjamin McCallie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Michaels honor.
