She is survived by: her children, Bobby Ray Akins, Jr. of Claxton, Sherry, Eric Barnes of Statesboro, Suzanne and Kevin McClure of Villa Rica; her stepmother Dorothy Owens of Savannah; her siblings, Rose (Nicky Sanders), Bonita Ray, Phillip (Kathy Owens) and Joseph (Linda Owens); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Wes Sherrod, Tiffini, Marc Hendrix, Rick, Sara McClure, Whitney and Sean Fortenberry; and her great grandchildren, Issac Sherrod, Ariana Fortenberry, Raelyn, Riley Hendrix, Archer and Barrett McClure.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the J. Collins Funeral Home & Cremation Service (206 S Carroll Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180).
