He was predeceased by: his father Robert Victor "Bob" Carter; and his father-in-law Joe M. Cole. He is survived by: his mother Peggy Brunson Carter of St. Augustine, FL; his wife Amy June Cole Carter of Temple; his daughter Sandi Whitehurst of Villa Rica; his sister Angela; his brother-in-law Jack Garvy of St. Augustine, FL; his mother-in-law Rebecca "Becky" Cole of Temple; his siblings-in-law, Harold Cole of Temple, Joey and Renee Cole of Temple; his grandchildren, David Whitehurst, Aiden Whitehurst, Lacie Carter, Bailee Carter, Amelia Carter and Charleigh Carter; and also, Benjamin Carter, Lexi Smith of Temple, Kenneth Carter and Jamie Renoy of Dawsonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
