He is survived by: his mother Betty Hood Rickels; his wife Beverly Joan Rickels; his children, Courtney Lynn Rimmer (Charles "Wayne" Rimmer), Rebecca Amelia Rogers (Zachary Rogers), Anna Elizabeth Townes (Troy Townes) and Joseph Marvin Rickels III (Kelly Rickels); his siblings, Michael Wayne Rickels, Pam Rickels, William Francis "Pete" Rickels and Becky Rickels; and his grandchildren, Peyton, Owen, Bryson, Adelynn, Penelope, Stella, Everid and Calvin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
