With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clemmie Ruth Jackson of Taylorsville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2024 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Williams and Lula Highfield Williams; her husband James S. Jackson; her great grandchild Amanda Brown; her siblings, Herbert, Robert, Alton of Joe Ben, J. T., Van Williams and Hazel Ingram; and her son-in-law Milton Saunders.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Cook (Leon) and Sarah Saunders; and her grandchildren, Keith Cook (Cassandra), Candy Young (Jeff), Brenda Trusch (Dennis), Wanda Holt (Ken), Wayne Saunders and Linda Meeks (Rob). She is also survived by Fifteen great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the Taylorsville Cemetery (53 Church St, Taylorsville, GA 30178).
