He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Brown Deems; his children, Pam Brown (Robert), Al Deems (Missy), Lee Deems (Jennifer) and Justin Elrod (Leighann); his daughter-in-law Casey Elrod; his grandchildren, Shannon Brown Eubank, Victoria Brown Hazelwood, Laura Deems Jarrell, Hannah Mae Deems, Tyler Deems, Kelsea Elrod Culver, Peyton Elrod, Dayton Elrod, Dawson Elrod and Lane Waddell; and his siblings, Sara Moates, Joyce Bowman, Onita Lindsey and Mack Deems (Janice). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
