It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Charlene Maddox of Tate, Georgia, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Padgett and Estelle Padgett; her sister Opalene; and her brother-in-law Nillard Milligan. She is survived by: her husband Ed Maddox of Tate; her daughter Sherry Maddox of Tate; her sister Brenda; her brother-in-law Curtis Clark of Talking Rock; her sister Debbie; her brother-in-law Tim Brooks of Tate; her brother Willis; and her sister-in-law Mickey Padgett of Ellijay.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the Sharptop Baptist Church Cemetery (2010 Grandview Rd, Jasper, GA 30143).
