Mrs. Sallie Lou Matthews Gibbs Chapman, 95, of Talmo, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020

Graveside services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in Alta Vista Cemetery. Rev. Charles Jenkins will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 2pm until 4pm.

Born on December 22, 1924 in Winder, GA she was the daughter of the late Claude Daniel and Martha Mae Matthews. She was retired from North Georgia Auto Auction and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chapman is preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Gibbs, Sr. and Francis Chapman; daughters, Kay Frances Gowan, Elizabeth Robin Gibbs; son, Alvin Gibbs and a number of brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her sons Hubert Gibbs, Jr. of Gainesville, Charles Eddie Gibbs of Talmo, Perry Rodney Gibbs of Talmo; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
