It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Goode Brooks of Talmo, Georgia, born in Toccoa, Georgia, who passed away on February 14, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Owen Goode and Lottie Smith Goode; her husband Amos Harrell Brooks; her son Anthony Harrell Brooks (Hal); and her sister Frances.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Page, Quentin Goode, Owen Goode, Mary Louise Lanham, Doris Thompson, Katherine Goode, Thomas Goode (Tinker) and Patricia Goode; her daughters, Deborah "Debi" K. Banks (James) of Talmo, GA, Patricia "Tricia" B. Bridges (John) of Arnoldsville, GA and Catherine Brooks-Geiger (late William Marlin Geiger) of Sautee, GA; her daughter-in-law Linda "Lyn" Brooks of Columbus, Ohio.; and her grandchildren, Joe Brooks, T. J. Brooks, Dustin Banks, Brooke Stoyle, Erica Bowen, Mark Bridges, Rachel Nation, Caitlin Geiger and Christopher Geiger. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
