She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Scott and Viola Magness. She is survived by: her husband George W. Gabrels; her daughter Vickie Doorley; and her siblings, W. R. Scott, Boyce Scott, Billy Scott, Leonea Burrell, Carolyn Eller, Frances Woodall, Judy Woodall, Jewel Cheek and Barbara Williams of Lakemont, GA. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
