He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jesse Steadman and Selma Watkins Steadman; and his sister Carolyn Steadman Busby. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Robinson Steadman of Tallapoosa; his son Walter Dean Steadman of The Woodlands; and his niece Billie Ann Busby Rhinehart of Rome.
