He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Clayton and Willie Albright Clayton; his wife Lila Clayton; his siblings, Barbara Bell, Margie Benefield, Billie Joe Clayton, Roger Clayton and Kenneth Clayton; and his grandchildren, Jessica Clayton, Kevin "Kebo" Clayton and Kimala Denman.
He is survived by: his daughter Tina; his son-in-law Tonnie Allen; his sons, Dean (Angie Clayton) and Mike (Jan Clayton); and his sister Shirley Laminack. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
