She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Lee and Rosie Lee Shipp Reid. She is survived by: her sons, Reginald Searcy and Blanchard T. Searcy; her brothers, Willie James Reid (Dorothy) and Irvin C. Jerry (Polly); her children, Johnny Velle Searcy (LaShelle), Beverly Jean Royster and Janice Jackson (Greg); her stepson Earnest Ewing; her grandchildren, Gavin Jackson (Tomeka), Anthony Thomas, Melanie Burks, Vivian Jones (Marquis), LaSheryl Adams (Craig), Marquita Wilson, Robin Johnson (Justin), Johneshia Searcy and Tyler Hughes; her great grandchildren, Zion Barber, Jaden Metz, Khalil Jackson, Jaleel Metz, Vernia Metz, Jordan Johnson, Kaitlin Jackson, Jayceon Johnson, Jalen Johnson, Jaxon Johnson and Aubreunia Jones; and her brother Joel Reid (Ruth) of Linden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
