She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sydney and Dorothy Elizabeth Walker Whitman; her husband Vinuard "Ben" Brooks; her son Randall V. Brooks; and her siblings, J. L. Whitman, Stanford Whitman, Curtis Whitman and Harris Whitman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carole B. Marchant (Randall) of Worth County and Janet B. Gleaton (Freddy) of Fort Gaines, GA; her grandchildren, Darrick Marchant (Liza), Brooke Mullen, Keaton Smith, Tanner Gleaton and Emily Brooks; her great grandchildren, Conner Mullen, Kason Mullen and Leila Marchant; and her sister Runelle Crosby of Leesburg, GA.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
