Nancy, so affectionately known as "Na Na", was born, November 15, 1944, in Worth County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Beulah Mae Chambers. Nancy was the fifth of thirteen children. Nancy was educated here as well. Though she did not complete her secondary education, she was wise beyond her years. Her siblings and other family and friends looked to her for her common sense guidance and no-nonsense straight to the point attitude. Nancy spent her adult life working and taking care of her family, starting at Suburban Manufacturing, Sylvester Textiles and her last position in the Worth County School District as a Custodian. Nancy spent her years in Worth County, except for a few excursions to the beach, with Jacksonville Florida, being her favorite beach area. Nancy was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in the mid 1970's. She was dedicated to teaching many others to love and respect Jesus' sacrifice for each of us until her death on November 2, 2022, at the Phoebe Putney Hospital. Preceding her in death were one son, Eddie Chambers; six siblings, Margaret (James "Woosie") Williams, Sammy Chambers, Louise Hamilton, Gladys Gardner, Georgia Williams and Patricia Jefferson. Na Na leaves to cherish her memories two children, Frederick "Peddy-2" (Jacqueline) Chambers of Clarkston, Georgia, Anita Covin, of Sylvester, Georgia; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a special granddaughter, Jasmine Moore; a special grandson, Xavier Chambers; two siblings, Homer (Cynthia) Chambers of Camilla, Georgia, Doris Chambers of Sylvester, Georgia; one daughter-in-law, Keisha Chambers; a sister-in-law, Ann Chambers; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Jefferson, and Robert Williams; a special great niece, Deliyah Tift, as well as many families and friends.
