It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Shiver Etheredge (Sylvester, Georgia), who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Davis and Lilly Pye Shiver; her husband Homer J. "Buck" Etheredge, Sr.; her grandsons, Scott J. Etheredge and David Cowart; her siblings, Walter Shiver, Margaret Cunningham and Merlean Shiver; and her son-in-law Wayne Cowart.
She is survived by: her children, H. Julius Etheredge, Jr. (Ina) of Lake Blackshear, Brenda K. Cowart of Leesburg and Crissie Norton (Brian) of Doerun; her grandchildren, Robert Causey, Michele Royal, Ashley Morey (Jeff), Kevin Norton and Drew Norton (Lauren); and her sister Jeanette Bridges. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
