She was predeceased by: her parents, William Perry and Edna Fowler Perry; her husband Deacon Sammie Lee Rockwell; and her children, Mable J. Rockwell Jackson (John) of Sylvester, Georgia, Glory A. Rockwell Stuart of Sylvester, Georgia, Joyce A. Rockwell of Sylvester, Georgia and Clyde R. Rockwell of Sylvester, Georgia. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.
At the age of twelve, Elsie Lee accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Charity Grove Baptist Church in Oakfield, Georgia.
