He is survived by: his children, David Span, Jr. (Willie Mae) of Jacksonville, Freddie James Span of Albany, Robert Span of Albany, Larry Span of Sylvester, Johnny Mack Span (Yatesha) of Sylvester, Terry Span (Barbara Ann) of Mobile, Alabama, Mamie Lee Benard of Albany, Georgia and Barbara Lynn Span-Gaines (Samuel) of Albany, Georgia. He is also survived by grand-children, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
