He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Hope, Tabatha, Lanier (Nakita), Charles (Lacey), Maxwell (Gresha), Alex, Leonard and Dr. Cornelius Polk; and his siblings, Jewell, Dr. Vera Thurmond, Barbara (Wrenford), James (Rosa) and Michael (Zola). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
