It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Thomas Griffin of Sylvania, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Attys and Mattie Jeffers Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Donna Lee Griffin of Sylvania; his daughters, Penny (Bobby Reddick) and Cyndee (Mike Jones); his grandchildren, Robert Zachary, Christian Reddick of Statesboro, Griffin Reddick of Valdosta, Mallory and Brayden Cheek of Covington; his stepgrandchildren, Megan, Will Dicks of Milwaukee, WI and Lauren Jones of Rome, GA; his friends, Madelyn Brown and Harold Lee; and his pet Scooter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility, P.O. Box 531 Statesboro, GA 30459.

“Greetings Donna and family: Several weeks ago, I learned that Marion was in hospice and then today to discover that he has passed. But he has passed from this life to eternal life and to the Savior whom he loved and served. I remember well the evening at Hurst Church---a summer night as I recall---when Marion on the platform at Hurst said he wanted to serve Jesus. That his sons-in-law officiated---suggests that Marion accomplished what he set out to do! Well done...good and faithful!”
