With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Yancey of Sylvania, Georgia, who passed away on November 2, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Beverly Marshall and Mary Brooks Yancey; and his brother Marshall Lewis Yancey. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Hagan Yancey; his sisters, Carole Yancey Pruitt (George) of Cleveland, GA and Deborah Yancey of Lafayette, GA; and his siblings-in-law, Edward and Jean Krulic Hagan of Sylvania, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church (for missions) at P.O. Box 258, Sylvania, GA, 30467 or Ogeechee Area Hospice at P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA, 30459 or to a charity of one's choice.
