It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Johnnie Oglesby (Sylvania, Georgia), born in Screven, Georgia, who passed away on December 28, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Mock and Amanda Crews Mock; her husband Neal "Bully" Oglesby; her daughter Susan Amanda Oglesby; and her sister Millie Mock Barnwell.

She is survived by: her son Joseph N.; her daughter-in-law Renee Oglesby of Sylvania, GA; her grandchildren, Josh of Sylvania, Kim Oglesby of Sylvania, Tyler of Sylvania and Ashley Oglesby of Sylvania; and her great grandchildren, Riley Oglesby of Sylvania, Cason Oglesby of Sylvania, Joshua Oglesby of Sylvania and Adaline Oglesby of Sylvania.

“I have known Johnnie Oglesby for more than 50 years. Ours was a friendship that began with my marriage to Jack Oglesby, her childhood friend and cousin. Though we spent much of our friendship so many miles apart, Jack & I in California, and of course, Johnnie in her beloved Slyvania, GA, she treated me like her sister. Our visits back to Sylvania were always special, spending time with Johnnie, Bully & Susie, reminiscing about childhood memories. Johnnie will be remembered & missed.”
