He is survived by: his wife Vanessa W. Jackson; his grandchildren, Tyler Winebarger and Jamie "Gertie" Thomas; his children, Felicia Strickland of Sylvania Georgia, Dana Marie Wilson of Roaring River, James David Jackson III of Sylvania Georgia and James Wesley Jackson of Greensboro; his siblings, Jan Harris of South Carolina and Jerry Jackson of South Carolina; and also Ruth Delancy of South Carolina. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
