It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Birdette Black of Sylvania, Georgia, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Frances "Jackie" Black; his stepson Wayne Edwards; and his siblings, Lois Grovenstein, Rudale Cartee, Foy Mae Bragg, Irene Eason, Ruth Edwards, Zader Black, Florrie Hughes, Wallace Black, George Black, Lehman Black, Curtis Black, Chester Black and Lester Black.
He is survived by: his stepson Franklin Edwards; and his daughters, Angela Black Grimes and Sarah Black Deal. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
