He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Franklin; his son Scott Christopher Ford; his stepson Roy Dean Beard; and his sister-in-law Carolyn June Ford. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hurst Ford of Sylvania; his children, Kimberley Welch (David Sandlin) and John Franklin Ford of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Stefinie Aversa (Zac), Jamie Welch, Amelia Jane Simmons-Kendzierski (Mark) of Rocky Ford, Ryan Williams of Sylvania and Kyle Williams; his great grandchildren, Adelinia Aversa, Carter Aversa and Bryce Parrish; his brothers, William A. Ford of Sylvania and Wayne Douglas Ford (Dee); and his half-sister Kathleen Kennedy of Maryland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
