It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emory Joseph Alloways of Sylvania, Georgia, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Roosevelt and Elizabeth Bragg Alloways; and his siblings, Gene R. Alloways, Mildred Jenkins and David Lee Alloways.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Avret Alloways; his children, Tina (John Withrow) of Sylvania, Michelle (Wilton Stubbs) of Sylvania and Joe; his daughter-in-law Donna Alloways of North Augusta, SC; his grandchildren, Wes of Sylvania, Leigh Ann Withrow of Sylvania, Jamie W. of Sylvania, Mark Smith of Sylvania, Chandler and Cassidy Alloways of North Augusta; his great grandchildren, Griffin Smith, Carlee Smith, Anna Kate Withrow, Ava Withrow and Ella Withrow; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Avret of Mansfield and Charlotte A. Lambert of Sylvania.
