She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Fenton Powell. She is survived by: her granddaughter Truie; her children, Pat Powell Gibson (Ralph), Joseph Fenton Powell (Kim), Will Gibson (Katelyn) of Evans, Georgia, Caleb Powell (Becky) of St. Simons Island, Georgia and Zane Powell (Miah) of Sylvania, Georgia; her great grandchildren, Paxton, Addie, Madison and Connor Powell; her sisters, Helen Russell of Buford and Lavonne King of Sebring, Florida; her grandsons, Will Gibson, Caleb Powell and Zane Powell; her nephew E. C. Hunnicutt; and her friends, Avery Blalock and Larry Gordon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Of Sylvania Family Life Center (214 S Main St, Sylvania, GA 30467). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Sylvania (214 S Main St, Sylvania, GA 30467).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Powell to the Sylvania Baptist Church, PO Box 318, Sylvania, GA 30467.
