He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Frances Riner Tant; and his brothers, Marvin Tant, Sylvester Tant, Leroy Tant and Andrew Tant, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Marietta Cook (Josh) of Lyons, Michelle Oliver (Rayburn) of Lyons, Rebecca Wolfe (Art) of Vidalia, Andy Tant (Brandi) of Kite, Billy Tant (Sonya) of Kite, Jeff Tant of Lyons and Henry Hall of Swainsboro; and his sisters, Mary Sally Stapleton (Ellie) of Wrightsville and Merle Mullis (James) of Dublin. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
