He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Merrell Burke and Jean Wilson Burke; and his wife Betty Burke. He is survived by: his sons, William C. "Billy" Burke, Jr. and Robert Shane Burke; and his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Burke, Darlene Whitener and Marie Armstrong. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
